ADU Consent of Understanding

Nationwide ADU Purchase Consent Agreement

This Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between you, hereinafter referred to as the "Customer," and BoxHouse, INC., hereinafter referred to as the "Seller," collectively referred to as the "Parties."

1. Purpose of Agreement:

The Customer agrees to purchase an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) from the Seller, and in doing so, acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement.

2. Customer's Responsibilities:

The Customer understands and accepts the following responsibilities:

a. Permitting and Regulations:

- The Customer is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits for the installation and use of the ADU.

- Compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to ADU construction and occupancy is the sole responsibility of the Customer.

b. Land Preparation:

- The Customer shall be responsible for any land preparation required for the installation of the ADU, including but not limited to grading, foundation work, and utility connections.

c. Zoning and Land Use:

- Ensuring compliance with local zoning ordinances and land use regulations is the responsibility of the Customer.

3. Checklist of Considerations:

The Customer must carefully consider the following before purchasing the ADU:

a. [ ] Verify Zoning Regulations: Confirm the property is zoned for ADU installation.

b. [ ] Obtain Necessary Permits: Check and secure all required permits for ADU construction and use.

c. [ ] Land Preparation: Assess and plan for any necessary land preparation work.

d. [ ] Budgeting: Consider the total cost of the ADU, including permits, construction, and land preparation.

e. [ ] Utilities: Ensure proper utility connections are available and plan for any required adjustments.

f. [ ] Compliance: Understand and adhere to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
4. Disclaimer of Seller's Responsibility:

The Seller is not responsible for the Customer's failure to obtain permits, comply with regulations, or adequately prepare the land for the ADU installation.

5. Governing Law:

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your State].
