Tackling the Housing Affordability Crisis with Innovative Solutions

Housing affordability is a pressing issue for millions of Americans. According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), nearly half of U.S. households—49% of a total 134.9 million—cannot afford a $250,000 home. With a median new single-family home price of $495,750, the affordability gap has left 77% of households priced out of owning a new home.

Rebuilding the American Dream: Innovative Solutions for the Housing Crisis

The American dream of homeownership is slipping further out of reach for millions, especially young people grappling with rising costs, high interest rates, and stagnating wages. According to a Redfin analysis, 2023 marked a record low in housing affordability, with only 15.5% of home listings considered affordable for the typical household.
